There is a lot of dissenting opinion of the value of the United Nations but you cannot dispute the aspirations of the charter. 

A simple and effective way to help protect people is to write on their behalf. Lending your voice to the voiceless can help a lot. 

Project Plowshares is a a wonderful organization devoted to creating a peaceful world. You’ll find a wealth of information from stats to resistance world wide to war.

This is a wonderful group to join if you’d like to help chart a course for Canadians that protects who we are and what direction we should go in.

This new site is devoted to Canada in particular when it comes to climate change and actions that we are or should take.

Great Source to start you off connecting with Global movements.Certainly worth check out if not only for the petitions you can add your voice to.

  3. Public Service Announcements (PSA’s) and events around town.
  4. Contact your Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) or one the main political parties to see when they will have the next public meeting close to you.

  6. Public Interest Alberta is an NGO that is interested in speaking to groups/classes and have a progressive agenda.
  7. Ted Talks – many great talks to view and videos are usually short. I recommend Margaret Bourdeauz’s talk on the effects of war after the war is fought. Or Harvard Professor Lawrence Lessig’s talk on how to make democracy better…excellent video!
